Hearing Loss
Surgery
Surgery may be available depending on the cause of your hearing loss.
Hearing Aids
Hearing aids are worn on or in the ear depending on your needs. The type of hearing aid to suit your needs will be determined in conjunction with your audiologist.
Bone anchored hearing aid (BAHA)
Is an implanted device that uses bone conduction to send signals to the inner ear to aid hearing. There are a number of different BAHA devices that can be surgically implanted. BAHAs are commonly used to treat conductive hearing losses or when hearing aids are not able to be used.
Cochlear Implants
Are implanted devices that send elective signals into the inner ear to aid hearing. Cochlear implants are commonly used to treat sensorineural hearing loss when it is severe to profound.
