Sinus and Nasal Tumours

Sinonasal tumours can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous) growths within the nose or the nasal sinuses. These tumours are rare. Symptoms of a sinonasal tumour can include obstruction, nasal discharge, bleeding, headaches and facial pain, particularly if symptoms are affecting only one side of the nose or face. Rarely sinonasal tumours may cause visual changes or numbness over the cheeks or forehead. Sinonasal tumours need to be diagnosed with scans such as CT, MRI and a biopsy.
