Nasal Obstruction

Nasal obstruction occurs when one or both nostrils of the nose are blocked causing a problem with breathing. This condition is often intermittent, or may alternate between each nostril. In some cases it may be permanent. Obstruction can be caused by allergies, inflammation and swelling of structures within the nose, nasal polyps, sinus infections, or it may be due to a crooked cartilage inside the nose (deviated septum).
